About Me
SPECIALIST ART EDUCATOR & TEACHER
Following a 24 year career in teaching, the last five years spent immersed in specialist arts education, I am excited to bring family pottery painting, and creative sessions to Knutsford.
I have loved living in Knutsford for a number of years and am excited to create a welcoming, relaxed space for families to enjoy creating and making. I really value the process of creating - we are all creatives!
Whatever your pace, slow and thoughtful - fast and experimental, all are welcome!
Come to Knutcraft to slow down, switch off, enter a lovely flow state, forget your worries and find a little oasis of joy!
About Knutcraft
HOW KNUTCRAFT WAS BORN
Having spent the last 5 years as a teacher and leader in a specialist arts college and personally experiencing the positive power of arts and crafts during a difficult (and successful!) year of cancer treatment, I am excited to bring a dedicated place for creating and making to Knutsford!
I feel incredibly lucky to be able to set Knutcraft up in such a unique and intriguing building; I've always been fascinated with its beauty and its imperfections - lingering on the way to the Moor Park or Tatton Park to admire the distinctive shapes and iconic features - so when I viewed it I knew straight away it would be perfect for Knutcraft.
There's a rich history of cultural and creative significance in and around the space, which I know will inspire Knutcraft visitors to enjoy creating their own personal iconic pieces!

What is Paint A Pot?
HOW KNUTCRAFT WAS BORN
Pottery painting—also known as "paint-a-pot"—is a fun and accessible form of creative expression where you decorate pre-made ceramic pieces using special underglaze paints. From mugs and plates to animals, fairies, dinosaurs, and more, there's a huge variety of blank "bisque" pottery to choose from. Once painted, your unique masterpiece is glazed and kiln-fired, giving it a glossy, durable finish you can treasure or use every day.
This relaxing and rewarding craft is perfect for all ages and abilities—there’s no need for prior experience or artistic skill. Whether you're splashing colours, creating a keepsake, or carefully designing a gift, pottery painting lets you slow down, be creative, and make something that’s completely your own. It’s a joyful, hands-on activity that sparks imagination and leaves you with a lasting memory in ceramic form.
